Online databases provide access to thousands of magazine and newspaper articles. Below is a list of several resources which may help with research in Biology. If you aren't sure which database to use, contact a reference librarian.
Please note: To access these databases from off campus, you need a valid STCC I.D. card with a current library barcode on the back. For more assistance, contact the library reference desk at 755-4549.
AccessScience - The full text of the McGraw Hill Encyclopedia of Science and Technology, with additional updated materials.
Academic Search Premier (EBSCO) - A general database covering many areas in the life sciences. Articles are generally if not always full text, and many are in .PDF.
Gale Virtual Reference Center -- Includes full text versions Biology, a four volume reference work containing articles relating to the field, and Beacham's Guide to the Endangered Species of North America.
