All the news that's fit

Here's a link to a site that offers international newspaper articles. PressDisplay.com won't replace the library's subscription to LexisNexis, but sometimes the images are helpful. Access to the first page(s) of newspapers is free to individuals. You can read articles from Ireland, Australia and China all in a single day.

Here's what you get with a free registration:

  • Unlimited access to the front page of over 1000+ newspapers and magazines
  • Reading 2 articles for FREE in every issue, every day (i.e. thousands of stories)
  • Anytime/anywhere access to PressDisplay.com from your PC, Mac, iPhone, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile device
  • Bookmarking up to 30 articles for sharing with friends via email or on your blog
  • Monitoring mainstream media for up to 3 keywords/phrases and being alerted by email when a story with your keywords hits the presses
  • Downloading, reading and storing, for up to 14 days, publications on your PC, Mac or Smart Mobile device
Newspaper Direct hosts this site, which now allows you to view the front pages of 1000+ newspapers and magazines. You do need to subscribe to read an entire issue. Free subscribers can get two free articles per issue. The Navigator tool even allows for translation. Spanish, Greek and other newspapers can be translated here. There's a zoom capability, too.
