85 Nurses were pinned

At the pinning ceremony held at Springfield Technical Community College last night. Many of those attending were STCC Library users. We love having our nursing students using the library for their study groups. Many of our new nurses were library users. You can read about the event in today's Springfield Republican.

I was among those who got to participate from the Theater (you rock, Tony Curto!) while Dean Mary Tarbell conducted the ceremony. There were numerous awards given out, including The Impossible Dream award, one of three donated by retired Dean of Nursing Mary O'Leary.

Trustee Steven Bradley announced the Baystate Community Service scholarship (I hope I got that right) There's more information on this forthcoming. Watch this space!
