LibGuides bring new look and expanded content to our research guides

Research guides are available on the library web site to bring together information on particular topics, including programs of study like dental hygiene, specific courses (English 100) or general advice (careers). The librarians have been at work updating these guides and creating new ones using LibGuides, a content management and publishing system designed for libraries.

LibGuides uses Web 2.0 technology to allow the library to give you access to a wider range of resources than before, including news feeds using RSS, as well as video and audio streams. There are also links to more traditional kinds of sources such as reference books, databases and web sites on the topic, arranged by tabs.

Recently "unveiled" guides include one on landscape design, which lists available books and databases from our library that cover information relevant to plants, gardening and working in landscape design. There are also links to landscape related Web sites, with a separate page for sources of biographies of landscape architects and others in the field, and a page for information on plant propagation.
