Books for you and your kids for the holidays!

As you may know, tonight is the first night of Hanukkah (a.k.a. Chanukah, Chaukkah, Hanukah, etc.), which begins on the 25th of the month of Kislev on the Jewish calendar, and lasts this year until December 12. Christmas is December 25, and Kwanzaa last from December 26 to January 1. Why not "check out" (pun intended) some books or music to put you and your family in the holiday spirit or to learn about an unfamiliar tradition? STCC library has materials about all three holidays. For Hanukkah and Kwanzaa our collection emphasizes children's books. On the subject of Christmas, we also have many children's books, as well as some books for adults, including information on Christmas cooking, decorations, and Christmas in foreign lands.
