Scholarship possibility! (But you must act fast!)

This Friday, November 30 is the deadline to submit essays for the DeMarco Scholarship. A $300 scholarship will be awarded for the Spring 2008 semester.

Students who attend the College during the day are eligible to apply, and one student will be awarded this scholarship for the semester.The DeMarco Scholarship is offered by the DeMarco Family in memory of John Richard DeMarco, Jr.

Any student who is interested in applying for this scholarship must write a 500 word (maximum) essay on the following:

1. The importance of an Associate Degree.
2. Their goals and/or transfer plans and what academic area they are
pursuing.
3. Why this scholarship would assist them in their academic endeavors.

All entries must be submitted by November 30 of the Fall semester (and April 18 to apply in the spring for the following Fall semester) to:

Essays will be forwarded to the DeMarco Family, and they will select a winner. The scholarship will be awarded for the semester following the one in which the student applied. The winner will be notified in writing prior to that semester.
