If you or someone you live with is a radio fiend, and you also have really bad reception at home, you probably often find yourself looking for Internet radio stations.

Use the search engine iheard which is an Internet Radio Station finding tool You can browse the directory (jazz, folk, rock, talk, oldies, even ambient!) or visit the categories page, which breaks down subtopics, such as International into lists from Arabic to Tamil!

There’s also a keyword search. I did a search the BBC, and got over 80 results. Some were the BBC itself, but some were NPR and CBC stations. You'll find a description that includes genre and format, you'll get a play button and you will also see the kind of software you need indicated by an icon. Click on the name of the station and you'll get more information.
