Although the calendar says November, you may think it looks more like winter outside. In the event of future snowstorms, it is possible to find out about STCC closings from WWLP, or from their weather cancellations and delays web page. In addition, the main STCC web page will post cancellation and delay information.


Happy Thanksgiving!

To allow celebration of the holiday, the STCC Library will be closing at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22nd and reopening Monday, November 26th at 8:00 a.m. If you're interested in varying your turkey preparation, one can find many different recipes, including the more than 540 turkey recipes (they say, I didn't count) on allrecipes.com. These include turkey roasted with rosemary, garlic and olive oil for Thanksgiving with an Italian flavor, or for a gourmet who wants to experiment, apricot-glazed turkey with roasted onion and shallot gravy. Stop by the reference desk if you want to share ideas or get help finding cookbooks.
